Currently our Bylaws have locked the annual assessment at $98. The Bylaws were written in 1972 when the maximum of $98 was substantial to cover all community expenses and reserves but today it puts us in the RED. That comes to $8.16 per month. Just think what you pay that costs $8.16 per month. Consider what you pay for your cell phone bill monthly. What about your cable TV/live stream services per month. We all know people have fixed incomes/budgets. Consider that your home is one of the biggest investments you’ll make in your life so why not invest in it. Unmaintained community amenities not only increase crime but keep home values down. To be real serious we need to consider $20 per month or $240 per year. That’s .65 per day. This is just a suggestive number but once all is fixed it could be lowered as long as all expenses are covered. The new park would cost less to maintain. A consideration could be to use some funds for more security. The funds we currently have that were mentioned as excess were accumulated over a long time but look at what amenity suffered by not using the funds. Some of the excess funds are used to cover current expenses but eventually they will run out. We need to take action and vote on some kind of increase. Inflation affects everyone and everything. PLEASE attend the meeting this Thursday @ 7:00 pm . 9511 Cook Road and read the Bylaws.
